The Royal Caviar Company hatches first batch of sturgeon eggs in Abu Dhabi

WAM Abu Dhabi, 5 Sept. 2011 (WAM) -- The Royal Caviar Company (TRCC), the world's largest and most technologically advanced producer of high quality sustainably produced caviar, has witnessed the hatching of its first sturgeon fish in Abu Dhabi.

Almost 120,000 sturgeon eggs were flown in from Germany last month, and since their arrival, TRCC has seen more than 80% of these eggs successfully hatch representing the company's first batch of locally-grown sturgeon.

ABU DHABI: For the first time in the capital eggs of sturgeon fish were hatched recently.

The Royal Caviar Company (TRCC), a producer of caviar, hatched its first sturgeon fish in Abu Dhabi.

Almost 120,000 sturgeon eggs were flown in from Germany last month, and since then 80 per cent of these eggs have been hatched.

A huge complex operated by Royal Caviar Co is the artificial home to thousands of sturgeon, the fish that produces the coveted black roe, and is ideally placed to tap into a growing appetite for caviar in the Gulf.
